| In
the spirit of hope, there came a vision. A vision deeply rooted
in the hearts and minds of its founders Rudolph H. Carn,
and the late Mae Reed, and the late Edna
M. Brown.
National
AIDS Education & Services for Minorities was created in an effort
to counteract the ever increasing spread of HIV/AIDS in communities
of color. Since the opening
of its doors in 1990, NAESM has taken great pride in serving Atlanta's
minority community. As a non-profit community based organization,
NAESM is a beacon of hope for those
in need of love and understanding.
The mission
of NAESM is to educate communities of color on the facts about HIV/AIDS (Education/Prevention) and to make
health care and social services available to people of color with
early or advanced stages of HIV/AIDS regardless of their sexual
orientation.
