is Da C.R.I.B.B.?
Da C.R.I.B.B. is a drop-in "safe space" and educational
resource center for young gay and bisexual men of color. Da C.R.I.B.B.
attracts, empowers and educates by providing interactive and educational
resources that help young gay/bisexual men of color make healthy
lifestyle decisions.

The
Mpowerment Project
The Mpowerment Project mobilizes young gay/bisexual men to shape
a healthy community for themselves, building positive social connections
and supporting safer sex. This program recognizes the importance
of self-empowerment, the diffusion of new behaviors through social
networks, peer-led motivation, and the need to focus on HIV prevention
within the context of issues considered important to young men.
This intervention is implemented at Da C.R.I.B.B., a “safe
space” drop-in center that attracts empowers and educates
by providing interactive, entertaining and educational resources
that help young men of color make healthy lifestyle decisions.
Mental
Health Counseling
Mental Health Prevention Counseling is a service provided at the
drop-in center by a licensed social worker to address clinical depression,
family issues, societal barriers and substance abuse issues, which
may be contributing factors to risky behaviors.
Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services
Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services is another component at the
center provided by a Life Support Counselor whose role is to assess
high risk behaviors and create strategies for short and long term
goals for personal risk reduction.
